Job Description

• Fabric research and trend reporting through comp shops, trade shows, WGSN and mill visits, creating trend boards to assist in confidently present back
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with Buying, Design, Sourcing and Technical teams driving newness on fabric to deliver for the commercial customer benefit in line with the Design Brief, marketing and innovation priorities
• Work closely with the buying and merchandising teams and are a key support to design and sourcing
• Manage fabric newness for all product groups within their price architecture mix of Good, Better and Best
• Plan and visit key fabric trade fairs, reporting newness and maintaining key supplier relationships
• Deliver key fabric message for each product area
• Influencing fabrics for tendered garment programs
• Create and update Tender boards
• Manage and update Fabric Sourcing Library

Job Requirements

• Good understanding of global retail market place to identify relevant fabric trends
• Good technical knowledge and proven track record of developing and sourcing highly commercial fabrics
• 5 years experience in Garment Industry
