Responsible to manage and control the product development process for backpacks from tech pack interpretation to final approved sample
Control and manage the product timelines in order to ensure on-time sample delivery aligned with buyer milestones
Responsible to coordinate with cross-functional teams such as: design, QA, sourcing, sample room, tooling, and production to ensure the workflow
Study and apply mechanical knowledge to design backpacks products that are durable, load-bearing, easy to wear, and comfortable for users. Work with related teams to ensure that components are properly engineered to prevent discomfort or damage during prolonged use.
Review and improve construction, stitching, and assembly techniques
Guide pattern making and prototyping with attention to structure, fit, and material behavior
Evaluate and validate raw materials, reinforcements, adhesives, trims, molded parts, and outsole components
Ensure compatibility of materials with design intent and production methods
Work with sourcing and R&D on new materials or innovations
Collaborate with QA/QC teams to review lab test results and adjust specifications if necessary
Be a technical liaison with customers/buyers for feedback, sample revisions, and development reviews
Attend buyer meetings, development calls, and virtual fit or review sessions if needed
Other tasks will be reviewed during the interview process.

Working Time: Monday – Saturday ( off 2 Saturdays per month)

Working Location: HCMC

Graduated from Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related technical field
At least 5 years at the similar position in product development for backpacks
Experience integrating technical components (e.g., frames, padding systems, molded
Basic understanding of CAD/3D design tools
Strong communication skills in English.
