Job Description

• Monitor sample room team of CAD, pattern maker, sample sewers, cutters, Sample QA and pressers on a daily basis.
• Guide and advised Pattern Maker for correction needed to the pattern for development as well as for Fit, PP and other pattern that are being requested by buyer.
• Discussed with buyer directly either by emails, phone calls, or in person whenever there are issues that buyer wanted a more in depth understanding.
• Measure hard pattern for accuracy when necessary or when there is issues on fitting or construction that are being called out by the buyer.
• Work and discuss directly with the buyers on necessary adjustments and suggestions to make sample more feasible in bulk production but will not affect the design of the garments.
• Send call outs and suggestion (pattern adjustments / construction) to buyer should the block pattern receive is not feasible to use in making the sample.
• Send call outs / suggestions to buyer if the reference samples or design sheet received are not aligned to use in making the sample. Especially if the fabrics are in mixed media.
• Guide and teach Sample QA with regards to pattern adjustments and understanding on correct or desired fitting as requested by buyer.
• Discuss with sample line supervisor the correct and necessary techniques in making the samples the best and fastest way possible that would also benefit the bulk production when styles are approved.
• Review sample production reports of Sample QA as well as sample line supervisor to ensure that the correct and precise reports are being sent out to Head Office. .
• Guide cutter the correct way in cutting different fabrics especially fabrics with print designs, stripes other different materials incorporated to a particular fabric.
• Make reports of the sample prices being made and send to HO for payments.
• Interview, hire and training sample QA / Sample sewers should the situation calls for additional manpower.
• Study samples for development and derived prices of samples based on category and complexity
• Other tasks will be discussed in the interview process

Working Location: North Vietnam

Working Time: Monday to Friday

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience at the same position in garment manufacturing industry
• Good command of English in listening, writing,& oral communication and comprehension
• Good leadership and communication skills
