Job Description

• Manage and responsible for seasonal raw material market trends, analysis and do market research on new items and products in the ongoing & potential market to identify seasonable product development opportunities based on season to another new season.
• Work with strategic raw material sourcing partners, fabric mills in Vietnam to develop sustainable fabric material for the customers to meet customer’s target price.
• Knowledge and expert of fabric finishing, fabric construction & weaving technics to identify cost saving opportunities.
• Knowledge and expert of fabric cost structures; yarns and fabrics to ensure the price point to focus at development stage.
• Manage raw material quality approval which including test report review, risk assessment, appropriate mold issues if needed and collaborate with suppliers to set up final specification.
• Manage and look after material innovation, key seasonal trend analysis, new technologies and sustainability through attending trade shows, mill visits and market research.
• Maintain consistent alignment and analyze fabric needs cross categories on overall concepts and ties to their strategies
• Develop new fabric types to meet company’s sustainability goals including customers target price meet with reasonable cost consideration.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, product designers, developers to develop new fabric based on customer requirements with reasonable timeline.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Purchasing and R&D departments to apply the regulatory standards of fabric performance and color control in production, including garments and its components.
• Liaise with team members, suppliers and customers in any stage of the production to provide technical support and give direction for problem solving.
• Visit and evaluate all new mills to understand their capabilities in order to meet the company business expectations in terms of quality, payment & delivery terms, capacity, and cost.
• Re-visit and update the information of existing mills for improvements and re-negotiating favorable price, quality, payment & delivery terms
• Other duties will be reviewed during the interview process

Working Time: Monday to Friday

Working Location: HCMC

Job Requirements

• At least 6 years’ experience in the same position working in fabric mills or garment/textile Company
• Having a strong relationship and network with fabric mills in Vietnam and the region
• Excellence in communication and communication skills
• Creation and can – do attitude
