Job Description

  • Work closely with the Production Manager as Production QA/QC to assist as required in the implementation and monitoring of Key Initiatives within the factory.
  • Lead diversified Commercialization team in factories to determine and integrates the best possible technical application for product without compromising on design specification and cost allowance (ie. Injected EVA, computer stitching, etc.).
  • Work within commercialization timelines and procedures without compromising product quality and design integrity.
  • Ensure supplier timelines (e.g. molds, lasts, components delivery) and instructs personnel to respect these delivery timelines.
  • Contributes in strengthening relationship with manufacturers and material/component supplier to achieve the common objective on quality and delivery.
  • Works closely with Global Planning and participates in planning meeting conducted by planning to identify the potential problems that would hinder the commercialization & production process and offers appropriate actions, solutions.
  • Ensures that commercialization trials are passed and confirmed on time, by attend all commercialization Trials making corrections and adjustments to production procedures and SOP’s as required. Evaluate and adjust (if necessary) line set-up to maximize efficiency and throughput. Participate in the feedback of post-Production Trial meetings with factory and personnel.
  • Collaborates with costing, and production to ensure products follow the commercialization directions.
  • Take the lead in conducting model tear down and transfer meetings with factory and personnel. Ensure all desired aspects for each model are known at meeting outcome and that follow-up on those items is carried out. Ensure accurate communication to all involved.
  • Follow quality system to ensure factories are compliant with quality requirements on every stage of development and the manufacturing cycle.
  • Receive model transfer packages and work with factory counterparts to ensure factories are testing and checking data accurately and correctly and following required standards.
  • Work with factory and staffs to ensure that a 100% accurate Production Spec is created.
  • Work with Production and Planning Departments and factory to ensure FE2 commercialization timelines are met on schedule in order that mass production can begin on time.
  • Review factory grading schedules to ensure proper proportions and aesthetics are maintained for all sizes.
  • Ensure all activities related to product specification and testing standard meet with standard.
  • Ensure all activities associated with the approval of Production Standards comply with the principles, policies and standards of in the Footwear Quality Manual.
  • Fully evaluate all Production Standard (PS) shoes to ensure they are 100% accurate for Production.
  • Check and assist in the monitoring of the production line during start-up of a new model to ensure production status and product meet required quality standards.
  • Liaise with factory’s inspectors to understand and resolve any early quality issues to ensure that production schedules are met and high product quality is maintained in accordance with standards.

Job Requirements

  • 5-7 years in footwear technical engineering
  • University graduate or above
  • Good command of English and Chinese
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willing to work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong technical background in footwear and proven work experience with major brand names.
