Job Description

• Control and manage daily activities to maintain environmental management system (EMS).
• Publish environmental performance reports and maintain permits as per local legal compliance regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that industrial operations are in compliance with local, customers and corporate environmental requirement, regulations and policy.
• Plan and implement project activities required by the adoption of the company environmental sustainability council.
• Manage the annual Higg index FEM adoption following the Higg cadence cycle.
• Support Corporate CSR team to manage audits related to environmental sustainability.
• Support the factories across Vietnam to carry out/update environmental impacts assessment, tracking & monitoring pollutions/emissions, contaminations and damages if required.
• Responsible for environmental mitigation required by laws if necessary.
• Release quality and verifiable environmental data.
• Maintain environmental data management and reporting system.
• Educate industrial workers on environmental programs and policies.
• Respond to inquiries and concerns related to EMS.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing environmental strategies.
• Investigate environmental incidents and develop action plans.
• Coordinate with sites EMS lead and officers to oversee pollution control programs and develop waste treatment and recycling procedures.
• Develop budget and timelines for environmental operations and develop cost reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality.
• Provide job trainings and assistance to local team members when needed.
• Improve and Promote awareness of the company environmental policy to employees.
• Develop programs to engage in environmental improvement in your local context.
• Support the CSR stakeholders on CSR activities relating to employee engagement, brand and culture building

Working Location: Vietnam

Working Time: Monday to Saturday

Job Requirements

• Possess minimum a Bachelor Degree in any discipline
• Have at least 10 years of working experience in environment management.
• Passionate in solving environmental sustainability problems and motivated to drive new changes.
• Experienced in environmental data management and analysis, as well as reporting.
• Demonstrating independent, critical and “context-based” thinking will be considered a merit.
• Solid environmental knowledge and experience in apparel industry is preferable.
• Familiarized with ISO 14001 EMS as well as SAC Higg Index FEM requirements will be a good advantage.
• The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not afraid to “roll up sleeves”.
• Have good knowledge of local country compliance and government regulatory.
• Strong project management and change management skills.
